About the BMW Italian Open:
The Italian Open has been part of the European Tour schedule since the tour’s debut season in 1972. But the tournament goes back much farther, first played in 1925. BMW has been the title sponsor since the 2009 tourney.

In his 245th start on the European Tour, Frederik Andersson Hed broke through for his first victory. With a third-round 63, Andersson Hed took a commanding lead – then held on despite shooting 73 in the final round. David Horsey was second, two strokes behind.

BMW Italian Open Golf Courses:
The Italian Open is currently played at Royal Park outside of Turin. That has been the site since 2009. Prior to that, from 2004-08, the tournament was played at Castello di Tolcinasco Golf & Country Club in Milan. Over its long history, the tournament has rotated to many courses across Italy.
