Running Of The Bulls: 10 Injured In Spain

Sky NewsSky News – 4 hours ago

Half-ton fighting bulls have trampled, dragged and knocked over more runners during Spain’s San Fermin festival, injuring at least 10 people.

Thousands of thrill-seekers ran among the six bulls and six castrated steers that raced and often skidded through the winding, cobbled streets of Pamplona.

Revellers packed overhanging balconies as the beasts bolted 846.6 metres from their holding pen to the city’s bullring in a quick two minutes and 29 seconds.

One runner wearing the traditional white outfit with red handkerchief sprinted ahead of a pack of three bulls, but could not outrun them.

He was knocked over, trapped between two of the beasts and then kicked by other passing bulls before being dragged and left sprawling in the street.

The Red Cross reported at least 10 injuries including bruises, dislocated joints and head injuries.
